I've been playing since release. Plenty of times when i had over 200k, i have just about every greenie for my monk, my ele and necro both have 15k sets and 1.5k sets too. Currently I'm pretty broke due to skill capping, ack! About 40k left from when i started around 150k... But, i do only need canthian protector until i get KOBD, so it was well worth it :P

n sign 1+2+3 altogether......something must've gone wrong.....

common 12months with <10k, no perfect weapon, and no 15k/FoW armor??
it's hard to believe.

I apply to all of those terms, but GW is a game where money is hardly needed. All I have ever done is play my character and buy armor for that character, when I come up to an armor vendor most of the time I have the money and material for what I want. And then I go on my marry way to get collectors stuff and my characters already all set.

I've got a couple greens I use occasionally along with my collector items. All my characters have Kaineng armor. I do have 120k sitting around in storage but I don't care enough about PvE to spend it.

Basically I haven't really PvE'd in four months.

have 4 sets of 15k, ~900k cash + 60 ecto and 70 shard

bunch of greens

I actually dont use any golds right now, but I do have some in storage waiting to be sold. And no, I didn't ebay my money lol... I've been farming ever since I got to ventari's refuge and found out I could farm totem axes... never looked back, never stopped making money

900k alone is over 150 totem axes :/

15k armour and obsidion is waste of time to get when you are supposed to play the game for fun and i prefer getting things for my chars instead of special armours but fair enough if u have enough buy it

It's really not meaningful to go by the age of the account. Date of activation doesn't affect your "wage" at all.

Income, in GW, comes from two things, and two things alone: Wage and Time. That's time spend playing, which is only affected by the age of your account insofar as the latter serves to set an upper limit. But play with those two factors, and you will come to anyone's data.

Make crappy money but play a shitload? You'll have a lot of cash reserves. Play the market like a demon but play once a week? You'll have a lot of cash reserves. Play once a week but don't play to earn? You won't. Hell, play a shitload but don't play to earn and you won't.

Really, the only meaningful figure would be net worth divided by hours played.

1. I always seem to be low on money... once I had 400k when I joined the buy/sell craze for a couple weeks, but then I spent that to buy stuff for myself and kept it. Another time I had ~600k in cash, shortly after factions release when I sold ecto high and then bought it low and crafted a set of fow for my monk. Normally, I have <50k in stash.

2. I mostly use perfect golds on my character, or 1% off items, but with my warrior I've been lazy and just bought a couple cheap-o greens for weapons. Getting perfect gold weapons for a warrior is so much more expensive than caster items of the same caliber. And I prefer high-caliber stuff :P

3. 2 Sets of FoW, 4 sets of 15k + 2 scrapped (my necro isn't wearing anything other than her FoW :P)

I sign for the weapons one. I don't have any golds whatsoever, and never had one that was perfect damage (hence why they got sold to traders). I have a one green weapon, Morgriff's Scepter, and that's it.
Why use some 'zOMG p3rf3ct' weapon when you can sell it for 100k + ectos and use one of almost identical stats - with the same bonuses - that ends up working just as well?

What I do have is three characters outfitted in 15k armour, 130 plat in the vault, and no need for anything to validate my player competency that isn't in the shape of a skill on my skillbar.

I got one b-day present ~ mini hydra

got all 3 spades. I have seven 15k armor sets across my three pve characters (the other 3 is storage + 1 pvp slot), FoW set for my monk, perfect weapons, few shards, ectos, etc, etc.... I'm definitely lightyears away from among the richest in guild wars, but if you use your time online effectively you should have all 3 spades within 12 months of gameplay.

Offtopic, but do people actually buy these? They are so easy to farm! No offense meant, it's great that you can find a market for something so easily obtained; I would be laughing at them all the way to storage!

An hour of solo fow farming a day at 10k a run will get you in 1 month:
300k.

Which is quite alot for 1 hour a day, do some intelligent tradeing and you could have much much more.

I expect 55ing UW is even more profitable.

If you have the gift of not being tempted to spend all your cash everytime you hit 100k unlike me, fow armour and perfect weopons shouldnt be a problem.

Rich people like getting rich and farming is a major part of the game to them which 99% of the moaners here dont understand.

umm unsigned for em all. i've had a bit over 25mil at one time
i've own a req 9 15^50 crystalline sword b4 and i own some perfect items right now
15k armor for all chars except mesmer for right now. 1.5 sets of fow armor.

/age for all combined hours is 736 btw thats for 13 months, only about 400 hours is me over the past 11 months, other 2 months was my brother's friend. bought this accoutn off him

Unsigned, I've been nowhere near as committed to this game as other since release players have, but I'm still sitting on a respectable pile of cash items and armor. I have no idea what you spend your online time doing, but I assume it's nothing productive.
